Scholarships
Scholarships will be awarded during the Sunday break of the Provincial Championships.
In 60 B.C. communities from Kimberley to Prince George and from Fort Nelson to Victoria, the BCSSA teaches young people the value of hard work, dedication and teamwork, doing so in a positive, fun environment where all children are welcomed to compete and work to fulfill their potential. To encourage young people to stay involved in healthy activity through high school graduation and to acknowledge the exceptional dedication and commitment of long-time athletes, the BCSSA has established an annual Regional Scholarship in each of its eight regions. Scholarships are awarded to assist with post-secondary education expenses.
BCSSA Endowment Fund – All donations to this fund will be permanently endowed. The income generated from this fund provides stable funding to the BCSSA for our long-term goals.
BCSSA Transferable Fund – This transferable fund provides BCSSA a steady stream of income but allows for the option to transfer the fund’s capital at a future date.
In establishing the endowment funds and partnering with the Vancouver Foundation, the BCSSA is well positioned to attract both donations and attract legacy gifts for the benefit of our organization. The team at the Vancouver Foundation is dedicated to support our members with legacy giving options and provide estate gift administration services. Both the endowment fund and the transferable fund support the BCSSA Scholarship awards.
